Conner Klostermann enters his first season as head coach at Northeast Iowa Community College in the inaugural season for the program. Klostermann spent the last four seasons with the Northern State baseball program, the first two as the graduate assistant, and most recently served as the lead assistant coach, where he worked with hitters and led the recruiting effort.

In the spring of 2024, Northern went 18-31 overall and 13-26 in the Northern Sun. Two Wolves were named to the NSIC All-Conference teams and five school records were broken. The Wolves improved in every offensive category from 2023 except HRs, and broke school records for stolen bases and base on balls.  Northern had their winningest season since 2019 and improved their win total by 7 from the previous season.

The Wolves tallied an 11-31 record overall and 6-25 mark in the NSIC in the spring of 2023, Klostermann’s first season as lead assistant coach. Northern found success at the plate improving in 12 offensive categories from the previous spring. The Wolves racked up the most single season home runs since 2016, runs per game since 2018, and doubles since 2019, and the highest individual home run total since 2017.

In two seasons as the graduate assistant, Northern State posted a 15-26 record overall and 10-18 mark in the Northern Sun in 2022 and 15-22 overall/14-19 in the NSIC in the spring of 2021, respectively. Northern State second baseman Isaiah Chevalier was named to the NSIC All-Defensive team following the 2022 season. Two Wolves were named to the NSIC All-Conference teams in 2021 in Seth Brewer (first team) and Spencer Sarringar (defensive team).

Prior to NSU, Klostermann was the assistant coach at Beckman Catholic High School in Dyersville, Iowa from 2016-2020. In 2017, Klostermann helped lead the Blazers to a 32-11 record and the Iowa Class 2A State Baseball Championship.

Klostermann played collegiate baseball at Des Moines Area Community College and Upper Iowa University. Klostermann led the NSIC with six home runs during the 2020 season that was suspended due to COVID-19. He earned a bachelor's in English Education from Upper Iowa University (2019) and a master’s degree in Sport Performance and Leadership from NSU (2022).

He resides in Dyersville with his wife Lauren and daughter Collins.
