Cougar softball lands transfer infielder
Nenne logged a .256 batting average in 43 games played for the Hawks this past season, along with a .959 fielding percentage in 146 chances.
Head Coach Nick Weinmeister and the Cougar softball team have landed Natalie Nenne, a transfer infielder from Hudson, Ill., who spent last season playing for Heartland Community College.
Nenne logged a .256 batting average in 43 games played for the Hawks this past season, along with a .959 fielding percentage in 146 chances.
"I chose NICC because it was the best fit for my educational and athletic goals," Nenne said. "I'm able to work towards my associate's degree while exploring career opportunities given the variety of electives offered. I am looking forward to being a part of the new softball program."
"I'm thrilled that Natalie has decided to continue her athletic and academic career at Northeast Iowa Community College," Weinmeister said. "Natalie is a high-character student-athlete who is motivated to succeed on and off the field. She brings college playing experience, which will be a great asset to such a young team."
Nenne will start classes next month at Northeast Iowa Community College. Stay up-to-date with NICC Athletics at niccathletics.com.
