Nick Weinmeister

Bio

Nick Weinmeister begins his first year as the NICC athletic director in the 2024-2025 school year.

Weinmeister, whose duties started in May 2024, is NICC's first Athletic Director in school history.

Most recently, Weinmeister was the Head Softball Coach at the University of Minnesota Crookston from 2021-2024. Weinmeister has over 10 years of head coaching experience at the college level and three years of National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) administration experience.

Weinmeister graduated with his bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011 and his Master's degree in Physical Education in 2015 from Southwest Minnesota State University. Before Weinmeister was at Minnesota Crookston, he held coaching, teaching and administrative roles at Southwestern Community College from 2018-2021. He was also the Head Baseball Coach and Women's Golf Coach at Northland College from 2015-2018.

Weinmeister said, "The opportunity to build an athletic department at the NJCAA level is something that I am very excited to begin the process of. I am honored that NICC chose me for this role and to begin setting the foundation. All of the stops along my professional journey have prepared me for this opportunity and I am excited to be back in Iowa and at NICC."
