The NICC dance team competed at their first competition in program history on Dec. 4 at the Iowa State College Championships in Des Moines. The Cougars received a Division I rating, which means they scored high enough to be a top scoring divisional team.

Cougar athletics complete first fall season

Student-athletes arrived at Northeast Iowa Community College’s (NICC) campus in the middle of August, and this was the official start for Cougar athletics programs.

A Dubuque native, she graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 2019 and Loras College in 2022 with a degree in business administration. Since then, she has coached large, nationally recognized competition teams with over 100 dancers and 200+ students at the studio.
