The Cougars trailed 1-0 going to the bottom of the ninth versus Ellsworth on April 29. Then, Kaden Alstad tied the game with a solo homer in the first at-bat in the bottom of the ninth. The very next batter was Nico Olszewski, and he ended it.
Cougar baseball secured their first series win of the season April 25 and 26 when they hosted the North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Trojans.

Cougar baseball took on a rescheduled Easter Weekend series in Boone, Iowa, at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), April 5 - 6.
The Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) baseball team traveled to Indian Hills Community College for a weekend series on March 21 and 22.
The Cougar baseball team came into their doubleheader with Rock Valley College on March 19 on a lengthy losing streak. The streak would extend one more game, but a big comeback propelled them to a win in the second.
After dropping game one of their doubleheader against Rock Valley, the baseball team rallied from an 11-4 deficit in the final two innings to steal the game and win 12-11.

“We have a group of guys who love to compete and do what is necessary to improve their game,” Coach Klostermann said.
"Our student-athletes did a great job during the fall semester and have set an amazing precedent for semesters to come, achieving an overall department grade point average of 3.30,” Athletic Director Nick Weinmeister said.

Student-athletes arrived at Northeast Iowa Community College’s (NICC) campus in the middle of August, and this was the official start for Cougar athletics programs.
"Both of these coaches will be game changers for us to help provide the level of development and attention to detail we are looking for," Head Coach Conner Klostermann said.
"I am grateful to the City of Farley and the Parks and Recreation Division for their willingness to partner with NICC Athletics and make Farley Park the home of Cougar Baseball and Softball,” Head Softball Coach and Athletic Director Nick Weinmeister said.
